Our Evidence-Based Approach
CBT
Cognitive Behavior Therapy
-
Most clients come to therapy wanting to change the way they feel (e.g., more confident, less anxious). CBT is based on evidence that our thoughts, behaviors, and feelings are interconnected. This means that by changing your thoughts and behaviors, you can change the way you feel. CBT is a present-focused therapy, so the focus of our work will be on changing current thoughts and behaviors.
-
CBT is an evidence-based treatment for a wide variety of disorders including ADHD, anxiety, depression, insomnia, and OCD.
ACT
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy

In ACT, we’ll use a variety of techniques to help you clarify your values, cultivate acceptance, and change how you relate to your thoughts, emotions, and the world around you to move towards the things that are most important to you in life.
-
ACT is an evidence-based treatment for anxiety disorders. It is also helpful if you need help navigating life transitions, grief and loss, chronic pain and/or medical issues, and relationship difficulties.
