Dr. Jonathan Westman, PhD
Founder | Licensed Clinical Psychologist CA #33816
I am a licensed clinical psychologist in Los Angeles with expertise in anxiety, ADHD, sleep problems (insomnia), panic, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), and trauma. I specialize in working with people who feel overwhelmed, mentally overactive, or unable to switch off. I integrate evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Exposure Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients sleep better, overcome their fears, and break through the noise in their mind. My style is collaborative, warm, and direct, blending genuine connection and humor with a clear focus on helping my clients create meaningful, lasting change. I also provide comprehensive ADHD neuropsychological testing to adults searching for diagnostic clarity.
I received my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at UCLA. As a graduate student, I provided individual and group therapy to adults at the UCLA Psychology Clinic, the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior, and the UCLA Psychosis Clinic. I completed my APA-accredited internship and post-doctoral fellowship at the West Los Angeles Veteran Affairs (VA) Medical Center where I received specialized training in treatment of sleep disorders, as well as use of mindfulness-based interventions.
My research focuses on supervision of therapists applying evidence-based practices. I have also published and presented in the field of substance use. I have previously lectured and supervised in the UCLA Psychology Department.
